Among the largest projects on which DPR is acting as general contractor is a grassroot data center for Facebook parent company Meta Platforms Incorporated (NASDAQ:META) (Menlo Park, California) in Mesa, Arizona, on the southeastern outskirts of Phoenix. The project entails construction of two data center buildings totaling 960,000 square feet with equipment and systems to help Meta meet demand for Facebook and other platforms. Construction kicked off in 2021 and is expected to be completed toward the end of this year. The data center will be Meta's 18th data center globally and 14th in the U.S., according to a DPR release. Other projects for Meta that DPR is at work on include a grassroot data center and Phase II expansion in Gallatin, Tennessee. Phase I will add approximately 982,000 square feet of building space, while Phase II adds another 672,000 square feet, including 45,000 square feet of office space. Also in the technology sector, DPR is at work on providing semiconductor wafer manufacturer Pallidus Incorporated (Albany, New York) new corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The project, which kicked off earlier this year, entails renovating an existing 300,000-square-foot building with both office space and supporting equipment to produce next-generation silicon carbide wafers to power semiconductors in the electric vehicle, telecommunications, data center and other sectors. DPR also is at work on Amazon.com Incorporated's (NASDAQ:AMZN) (Seattle, Washington) Project Tarpon, a six-story, 2.8 million-square-foot distribution center in Daytona Beach, Florida, to help support Amazon's regional operations. Outside of the Industrial Manufacturing Industry, DPR is at work on projects in the Pharmaceutical-Biotech sector. Planned to be completed later this year is a biologics and cell culture therapy addition at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company's (NYSE:BMY) (New York, New York) campus in Devens, Massachusetts. The three-story, 244,000-square-foot building will allow for the specialized production of personal, genetically engineered cell therapies for treatment of certain forms of cancer. In addition, a central warehousing building will be expanded by 45,000 square feet and a three-story, 600-space parking garage will be constructed. DPR began construction on Neurocrine Biosciences Incorporated's (San Diego, California) Phase II expansion of its research and development facility for treatments of neurological and endocrine diseases.
