U.S. Crude Oil Stocks Fall - The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports that U.S. crude oil inventories fell by 1.3 million barrels in the week ending April 28 to 459.6 million barrels. Crude oil in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve declined 2 million to 364.9 million barrels, its lowest since October 1983. Gasoline stocks rose by 1.7 million barrels to 222.9 million barrels, the EIA said. Distillate stockpiles fell by 1.2 million barrels to 110.3 million barrels. (Reuters)

Duke Energy Completes Two Florida Solar Plants - Duke Energy Corporation (NYSE:DUK) (Charlotte, North Carolina) announced that it recently brought online the Bay Ranch solar facility in Bay County, Florida, and the Hardeetown solar plant in Levy County, Florida. Both plants have a nameplate generating capacity of 74.9 megawatts. U.S. Natural Gas Futures Slide - U.S. natural gas futures slid about 2% to a one-week low on Wednesday as drillers keep pulling record amounts of gas out of the ground, mild weather kept demand low and the amount of gas flowing to liquefied natural gas (LNG) export plants declined as units shut for spring maintenance. Front-month gas futures for June delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell 4.4 cents, or 2.0%, to settle at $2.170 per million British thermal units. (Reuters)
