India's ONGC Targets Production Increase Over Next Three Years

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--With major offshore field expansions and life extension projects, Indian oil and gas major Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) (New Delhi, India) aims to increase its crude oil production capacity to 21.7 million metric tons and natural gas production to 26.124 billion cubic meters (Bcm) by 2025. ONGC's crude oil production in the 2020-21 fiscal year was 20.27 million metric tons, while its natural gas production was 22.1 Bcm.

The company is approving multimillion-dollar investments in projects across a number of its existing onshore and offshore fields such as Mumbai High, Heera and Neelam. Activities involved include production facility modifications, platform revamps and pipeline replacements.
