Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Indonesia's PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero) expects to double its geothermal output by 2025, when its Dieng Geothermal Power Unit 2 and the Patuha Geothermal Power Unit 2 are expected to begin commissionning.
Yudistian Yunis, the director of commerce development and exploration at Geo Dipa, said the development of Dieng Unit 2 and Patuha Unit 2 is ongoing, and that Geo Dipa already has drilled five production wells at each site. Currently, the total operational capacity of the geothermal power plant is 120 megawatts (MW); Dieng Geothermal Unit 1 and Patuha Geothermal Unit 1 each have a capacity of 55 MW, along with a small-scale unit in Dieng with a capacity of 10 MW.
