OMV Norge has announced plans to develop the Wisting oil field in the Barents Sea in the Arctic Ocean, north of Scandanavia. The operator is studying two development concepts for a floating production, storage and offloading vessel with subsea production systems and water injection wells. OMV expects to make a final concept selection in 2020.
