Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. (PGE), Poland's largest utility, plans to construct 600 megawatts (MW) of solar farms and windfarms next to its 5.42 gigawatt (GW) Bełchatów coal-fired power station, in the south-central Polish city of Bełchatów. PGE expects the projects will bolster its plans to phase out coal-fired power generation in the coming years.
