In the first phase, the facility will produce 1 million metric tonnes of smelter-grade alumina per year and which will ramp up to 2 million tonnes. In addition, the alumina facility will be supported by a 70-megawatt coal-fired power plant. It is estimated that Black & Veatch will start construction next year for the infrastructure and processing facility.
