PT Borneo Alumina Selects Contractor for Alumina Project, an Industrial Info Market Brief

PT Borneo Alumina Indonesia, a joint venture company of PT Indonesia Asahan Alumina and PT Aneka Tambang, has selected Black & Veatch to manage the project for its alumina refinery. Black & Veatch will release and review the bidding and equipment as well as the construction to the final commissioning. In the first phase, the facility will produce 1 million metric tonnes of smelter-grade alumina per year and which will ramp up to 2 million tonnes. In addition, the alumina facility will be supported by 70-megawatt coal-fired power plant. It is estimated that Black & Veatch will start construction next year for the infrastructure and processing facility.
