Pacific Gas & Electric Company has rescheduled the restart of its 1,122-megawatt (MW) Diablo Canyon 01 unit during a refueling at its Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Station in California. Diablo Canyon added additional safety and component inspections to the refueling, which pushed the restart out a couple of weeks to November 20.
Appalachian Power Company has rescheduled the restart of its coal-fired, 816-MW-each Mitchell 01 and Mitchell 02 units during an annual turbine, generator, and boiler inspection as well as repairs plus balance-of-plant maintenance at its Mitchell Power Station in West Virginia. The restart now is expected November 17.
NRG Texas Power LLC, a subsidiary of NRG Energy Incorporated, has rescheduled the restart of its natural gas-fired, 581-MW W A Parish 04 unit due to turbine rotor repairs at its W A Parish Power Station in Texas. The restart now is expected December 15.
