Arizona Public Service Company (APS) rescheduled the restart of its 1,247-megawatt (MW) Palo Verde 03 unit after experiencing delays with a refueling outage at its Palo Verde Nuclear Power Station in Arizona. APS plans to restart the unit by the end of the weekend.
Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation rescheduled the restart of the 1,160-MW Wolf Creek 01 unit at its Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Station in Kansas. The restart now is expected May 7.
NRG Energy Incorporated's natural gas-fired, 765-MW Cedar Bayou 02 was forced offline April 20 due to a boiler equipment failure and turbine issue at the Cedar Bayou Power Station in Texas. Industrial Info expects the event will end May 5.
