Entergy Louisiana LLC plans to hold the 1,199.8-megawatt (MW) Waterford 03 ST unit at its Waterford Three Nuclear Power Station in Louisiana at around 92% to 94% of capacity for the time being. Following a fire at the main and startup transformer, a refurbished transformer took their place, but it cannot handle the full output of the unit generator. Sources expect to replace the transformer two years from now. However, sources will be discussing future plans after a scheduled refueling in spring 2025, meaning they could possibly replace the transformer right after the refueling maintenance.

Tennessee Valley Authority rescheduled the restart of the 1,130-MW Sequoyah 02 unit at its Sequoyah Nuclear Power Station in Tennessee. The unit is still experiencing turbine-related issues, and the restart now is expected August 18.

Luminant Generation Company LLC's natural gas-fired, 531-MW Lake Hubbard 02 unit is offline for boiler tube leak repairs at its Lake Hubbard Power Station in Texas. The event is expected to end August 18.
