Marathon experienced a fire on the Ultraformer 3 unit this morning at its 495,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Galveston Bay Refinery in Texas, and the unit is offline. The extent of the damage and duration of the shutdown are unknown at this time.

Chinese Petroleum Corporation extended the shutdown of the 40,000-BBL/d Resid Hydrotreater 3 unit at its 350,000-BBL/d Talin Refinery in Taiwan. The restart now is expected by July 21, contingent on the unit's status.
TURPAS Izmit Refinery Turkey shut down the 84,900-BBL/d Crude (Plant 5) and 28,000-BBL/d Vacuum 2 units at its 220,000-BBL/d Izmit Refinery in Turkey, due to unplanned mechanical issues. The restart is expected May 29.
CNOOC Taizhou Petrochemical Company Limited began a 45-day planned plant-wide turnaround at its 90,000-BBL/d Taizhou Refinery in China. The restart is expected by June 28.
