Trans Mountain to Finish Final Expansion Segment in April - Trans Mountain will finish building the final segment of its oil pipeline expansion in Canada in April, according to a construction schedule the corporation filed on Monday with a regulator. The government-owned pipeline expansion will nearly triple the flow of crude oil from Alberta to Canada's Pacific Coast to 890,000 barrels per day (BBL/d), but has been plagued by years of delays, construction problems and cost overruns. Venezuelan Oil Exports Hit Four-Year Peak - Venezuela's oil exports in March rose to the highest level since early 2020 as customers rushed to complete purchases ahead of the likely expiration of a temporary U.S. license that has allowed the country to freely sell its crude oil, according to LSEG shipping data and documents. A total of 52 ships departed from Venezuela's ports last month carrying an average of 884,935 BBL/d of crude oil and refined products, and 463,000 metric tons of oil byproducts and petrochemicals, according to the data and documents and state-owned PDVSA (Caracas, Venezuela). France Boosts Nuclear Output to Three-Year Highs in First Quarter - France's power generators boosted nuclear output during the first quarter of 2024 to the highest level for that period since 2021. Utilities produced slightly more than 4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity from nuclear plants in the first three months of 2024, up 13.4% from the same period in 2023, according to data compiled by LSEG.
