U.S. Army Corps Seeks to Fast-Track More Than 600 'Emergency' Projects - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has identified more than 600 energy and other infrastructure projects that could be fast-tracked under President Donald Trump's National Energy Emergency declaration, according to data posted on its website. Among the projects on the list were Enbridge Incorporated's (NYSE:ENB) (Calgary, Alberta) Line 5 oil pipeline under Lake Michigan, several natural gas power plants, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminals proposed by Cheniere Energy Incorporated (Houston, Texas) and Venture Global LNG (NYSE:VG) (Arlington, Virginia). ExxonMobil Plans Large Natural Gas Project in Oil-Dominated Guyana - U.S. oil major Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) (Spring, Texas) is planning to increase natural gas output and supply in Guyana through a large-scale project announced on Wednesday, following the government's call for more natural gas to fuel onshore power and petrochemical projects. The "Wales Gas Vision," outlined by ExxonMobil's Guyana head, Alistair Routledge, is set to provide natural gas for the production of fertilizers through a US$1 billion pipeline completed last year. The government will take a portion of the gas supplied by ExxonMobil for power generation and natural gas liquids production through its Gas-to-Energy project. The Wales project also requires the building of separate pipelines and an offshore LNG facility. The company did not give a total investment figure for the project. (Reuters)
