Not surprisingly, Texas leads all other states in Oil & Gas Production Industry maintenance, with Kinder Morgan Incorporated (NYSE:KMI) (Houston) planning third-quarter and fourth-quarter turbine overhauls at a natural gas-processing plant in Katy. Each of the plant's two Solar Taurus gas turbines will be thoroughly inspected. In neighboring New Mexico, Hilcorp Energy Company (Houston) is preparing for a fourth-quarter turbine overhaul at its San Juan Basin Natural Gas-Processing Plant in Bloomfield, which will cover four Solar Centaur 40 gas turbines. For more information, see Industrial Info's project reports on the third-quarter Katy, fourth-quarter Katy and Bloomfield turnarounds.
Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE:APC) (The Woodlands, Texas) is preparing for a pair of offshore maintenance projects at its Heidelberg Spar Platform and Marlin Hub Platform in the Gulf of Mexico. The Heidelberg platform holds capacity for 80,000 barrels of crude oil and 81 million standard cubic feet per day of natural gas, while the Marlin platform holds capacity for 60,000 barrels of crude oil and 235 million standard cubic feet per day of natural gas. For more information, see Industrial Info's reports on the Heidelberg and Marlin projects.
Mississippi is one of the top states for pipeline maintenance-related projects. Much of this is attributed to a "pigging" project on the Capline Pipeline, in which cleaning devices known as "pigs" are sent through pipeline systems to clean, dislodge buildup and perform other services. Project segments include:
TransCanada Corporation (NYSE:TRP) (Calgary, Alberta) is at work on two pigging projects of its own on two segments of the operational Keystone Pipeline in Texas and Louisiana: a 300-mile stretch from the Kansas-Oklahoma border to the Oklahoma-Texas border, and a 500-mile stretch from the Oklahoma-Texas border to Nederland, Texas, both of which also involve extensive inspections to the lines. For more information, see Industrial Info's project reports on the Oklahoma and Texas segments.
The Terminals Industry is looking at maintenance-related projects in nearly every U.S. state. On the Texas Gulf Coast, Magellan Midstream Partners LP (NYSE:MMP) (Tulsa, Oklahoma) is at work on tank inspections and upgrades at its refined products terminal in Galena Park, while Intercontinental Terminals Company (La Porte, Texas) is preparing for work on tank inspections and upgrades at its butadiene, crude and butene terminal in Deer Park. The Galena Park terminal is undergoing inspections on two or three out of 150 tanks, while the Deer Park will see work on three or four out of 239 tanks. For more information, see Industrial Info's reports on the Galena Park and Deer Park projects.
