West Virginia's Fort Martin Station Shuts Down Unit for Repairs

The plant is owned by FirstEnergy Corporation (NYSE:FE) (Akron, Ohio).

Plant officials said that they have analyzed the issue and have begun repairs. They also plan to perform a wash while the unit is offline. Officials say the unit could be returned to service by Sunday, if there are no delays.

Fort Martin has two generating units with a capacity of 1,152 MW when at full load.
