Bonneville Power Administration's 500-kilovolt transmission line connecting the Summer Lake and Malin substations in Oregon, and its 500-kilovolt transmission line between the Grizzly and Captain Jack substations, also in Oregon, are currently out of service due to the Bootleg Fire in southern Oregon. A return-to-service date is unknown at this time. The blaze has impacted the California-Oregon Intertie, and has reduced the electricity capacity to California by 5,500 megawatts (MW).
