
October 31, 2025--Written by Danny Levin, Deputy Editor for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--New data from the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) shows that the U.S. now has more than 60 gigawatts (GW) worth of solar module-manufacturing capacity, a 37% increase from December 2024. Additional capacity is in the pipeline, although this comes at a time when President Donald Trump's administration is prioritizing fossil fuels over renewables.
