U.S. Crude Oil Exports Reached 3.24 Million BBL/d in April - U.S. crude oil exports reached 3.24 million barrels per day (BBL/d) in April compared with 2.61 million BBL/d in March, foreign trade data from the U.S. Census Bureau showed on Tuesday. Exports to the Netherlands were 425,000 BBL/d. Exports to India were 370,000 BBL/d, and exports to Canada were 354,000 BBL/d. (Reuters)

EIA: U.S. Power Use to Rise in 2021 - U.S. power consumption will rise 2.0% this year as state and local governments ease coronavirus lockdowns, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in its Short Term Energy Outlook on Tuesday. The EIA projected power demand will rise to 3,879 billion kilowatt hours (kWh) in 2021 and 3,935 billion kWh in 2022 from a coronavirus-depressed 11-year low of 3,802 billion kWh in 2020. (Reuters)

Pembina to Buy Stake in Floating LNG Project - Pembina Pipeline Corporation (NYSE:PBA) (Calgary, Alberta) said on Tuesday it would buy a 50% stake in Canada's proposed Cedar LNG Project to develop the floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in British Columbia in partnership with indigenous group The Haisla Nation. Pembina expects to invest about $90 million into Cedar LNG over the next 24 months, including costs to acquire its interest in the project as well as development costs prior to the final investment decision.
