The leak was identified after the discovery of a loose pipe in the high-pressure turbine area. Plant personnel brought the unit offline over the weekend to complete the repairs. Maintenance contacts said that the outage is expected to be a quick turnaround, with service expected to return Wednesday.

Turkey Point's Unit 3 continues to run at full power and is not experiencing any mechanical issues at this time.

When both units are in service at full load, the Turkey Point Generating Station has a total capacity of 1,604 MW.
