Changing World Technologies Filing for Turkey Oil Biodiesel IPO

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Privately held Changing World Technologies Incorporated (West Hempstead, New York), along with subsidiary Renewable Environmental Solutions Incorporated (Carthage, Missouri), has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering to raise money to take the turkey oil biodiesel producer to the next level.

Terms for the IPO are set at 2.8 million shares to be offered in the range of $11 to $15 per share. The bulk of the money raised is expected to go toward developing additional turkey oil biodiesel production facilities.

Currently, the Renewable Environmental Solutions operates a small plant near the Butterball turkey processing plant in Carthage, Missouri. The plant has been in operation since late 2003 and produces about 20,000 gallons per day of biodiesel and other byproducts from feedstock of 250 tons per day of turkey offal, or the entrails and internal organs of the bird.

The company's thermal conversion process mixes the material with water, which is then heated to a depolymerization reaction temperature that separates the organic from the inorganic. The hydrolysis reactor then separates the molecules into simpler units. The final stage separation system separates the gases from the biodiesel.

Changing World indicated that it doesn't have concrete deals in place to build new plants; however, the company is talking with several animal and food processors in North America and Europe.
