Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Hydrogen Park Murray Valley (HyP Murray Valley) project, which is being developed by Australian Gas Networks, part of the Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) (Adelaide, South Australia), has reached its financial close with funding support from Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), the Victorian government and Clean Energy Finance Corporation (Sydney).
The plant, located alongside North East Water's West Wodonga Wastewater Treatment Plant, would use a 10-megawatt electrolyzer, powered by a renewable energy source, to split water into hydrogen and oxygen to be blended into the local natural gas network across Albury and Wodonga. Construction is expected to start by the end of the year, with the start of operations by 2025.
