Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Belgian transmission system operator Elia (Brussels) has issued a contract notice covering the delivery of a submarine cable system for the Modular Offshore Grid II (MOG II) grid connection system in the North Sea. The tender remains open until July 27.
The MOG II project includes the construction of a new offshore grid infrastructure to connect new wind farms with a capacity of as much as 3.5 gigawatts (GW) in the Princess Elisabeth zone. The zone itself consists of three separate areas-Noordhinder Noord, Noordhinder Zuid and Fairybank.
