Germany's E.ON Suspends New Natural Gas Contracts
- German energy firm E.ON (Essen) has temporarily suspended new natural gas supply contracts for residential customers, the company said on Tuesday, as suppliers across Europe struggle with a steep post-lockdown rise in demand. "We have been reviewing new customer contracts for a few days, as we must take the sharp rise in procurement costs into account in our pricing," a company spokesperson said, without specifying how long the suspension would last. (Reuters)

Enbridge Completes Acquisition of U.S. Crude Oil Export Facility
- Enbridge Incorporated (NYSE:ENB) (Calgary, Alberta) announced the closing of the acquisition of Moda Midstream Operating from Encap Flatrock Midstream for $3 billion. The acquisition advances the company's U.S. Gulf Coast export strategy by giving Enbridge a 100% operating interest in the Ingleside Energy Center liquefied petroleum gas and crude oil export facility, and related pipeline and logistics infrastructure, located near Corpus Christi, Texas. Cheniere, ENN Enter LNG Sale & Purchase Agreement
- Cheniere Energy Incorporated (Houston, Texas) announced that it has entered into a liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with ENN LNG (Singapore) Pte Ltd. Under the SPA, ENN LNG has agreed to purchase approximately 900,000 metric tons per year of LNG from Cheniere Marketing on a free-on-board basis for a term of approximately 13 years beginning in July 2022.
