Japan's JGC Corporation was chosen to be the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for First Gen Corporation's $ 1 billion liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Batangas, Philippines. The project was declared by the Department of Energy as an "Energy Project of National Significance" and is expected to be completed by 2021.
