Shell Chemical is in the process of wrapping up the turnaround of its approximately 1.95 billion pound-per-year OL-5 Ethylene unit in Norco, Louisiana. The unit is expected to restart by the end of next week.

NOVA Chemicals is in the process of restarting the 1.8 billion-pound-per-year Olefins (Hot/Cold) Ethylene unit at its Corunna, Ontario, plant. The unit was forced to shut down on April 17 for emergency repairs.

Westlake Polymers in April, completed 45-day planned maintenance on its approximately 77 million-pound-per-year Polyethylene Line K unit in Sulphur, Louisiana.

JSC Odessa Portside has scheduled a month-long planned maintenance shutdown of the 600,000 metric-ton-per-year Ammonia 2 and the 440,000 metric-ton-per-year urea units, to begin in early July, at its Odessa Portside Fertilizers Plant in the Ukraine.

Dneproazot JSC has scheduled a planned maintenance turnaround of the 450,000-metric-ton-per-year Ammonia 1B, 330,000-metric-ton-per-year Urea 1 and 330,000-metric ton-per-year Urea 2 units at its Dneprazot Fertilizers Plant in the Ukraine. The units are expected to be shut down on May 15 for month-long maintenance and an equipment replacement.

Hyosung Chemical restarted the 661.4 million-pound-per-year Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) Unit 2 on May 13 at its Nam-gu Yongyeon No.1 Chemicals Plant in South Korea. The unit was shut down for planned maintenance on April 16.
