PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy plans to begin the initial process of developing units 7 and 8 of one of an operational geothermal power plant in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The expansion project 's exploratory drilling is expected to begin within the year for a planned capacity of 40 megawatts. PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy aims to finish the discussion with PT Perusahan Listrik Negara (PT PLN) with regards to the selling price of electricity, as well as the electricity needs in North Sulawesi.
