Formosa Plastics is in the process of shutting down its 1,650 million-pound-per-year Olefins 1 ethylene unit in Point Comfort, Texas, for minor maintenance. Current expectations are to restart the unit in roughly two weeks.

INEOS Manufacturing Italia SpA has started a month-long planned annual maintenance shutdown at its 407,855-million-pound-per-year Rosignano Polyethylene (HDPE) Plant in Italy. The event is expected to end at the end of August.

Dow Quimica Argentina is implementing a planned maintenance turnaround of the 1,433 million-pound-per-year EPE (Polyethelene) Unit at its Bahia Blanca plant in Argentina. The unit went offline on July 4 and is expected to resume normal operations in late August. The 547 million-pound-per-year Ethylene Cracker 1 Unit also went offline on July 4 for a major maintenance turnaround, which finally kicked off after being postponed due to COVID-19 impacts. The unit is expected to resume operations in the first two weeks of September.

Tomskneftekhim OOO continues with a planned turnaround of the 661 million-pound-per-year ethylene unit at its petrochemical complex in Tomskm, Russia. The unit restart is expected by August 27.
