Formosa Plastics expects to restart its 1,800 million-pound-per-year Olefins 2 ethylene unit in Point Comfort, Texas in March. The unit shut down on January 22 for planned maintenance.

Maruzen Petrochemical Company remains on schedule to begin a 59-day planned turnaround of the 1,157 million-pound-per-year ethylene (3EP) and 670.2 million-pound-per-year propylene units on May 17 at its Ichihara Chiba Chemical Complex in Japan. Expectations are to restart the units by July 12. A 56-day planned turnaround of the 245.2 million-pound-per-year High Density Polyethylene Resins (HDPE) Unit is on track to begin May 17, with the unit restart by July 11.
