Shell Chemical's 2,300 million-pound-per-year OP3 olefins unit in Deer Park, Texas, remains offline after severe weather and a tornado in the area forced the company to delay the unit's restart from a planned outage. The 300 million-pound-per-year OP2-D olefins unit also is offline, after the weather affected the unit's operations.

Versalis France SA is performing an unplanned shutdown of the 837 million-pound-per-year ethylene steam cracker following a fire at its Dunkerque Nord Petrochemicals Plant in France. The unit was forced to shut down in mid-December, and the restart is expected at the end of February.
