LyondellBasell has begun shutdown procedures for a 70-day plant-wide turnaround at its 1,130 million-pound-per-year ethylene, 606 million-pound-per-year Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and 700 million-pound-per-year Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) units in Morris, Illinois. The completion is expected in late August.

Hanwha Total Energies has delayed the restart of the 3,373 million-pound-per-year ethylene unit at its Seosan Daesan Petrochemicals Plant in South Korea and now expects to restart the unit June 17. The company also has delayed the restart of the 882-million-pound-per-year High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Unit 2 and 397-million-pound-per-year HDPE Unit 1, to June 20.

Versalis Spa is performing a planned maintenance shutdown at its 1,036 M Lbs/yr Brindisi Petrochemical Plant in Italy. The major maintenance shutdown will be finished in late June and includes the 462 million-pound-per-year HDPE (PE1), 440 million-pound-per-year LLDPE (PE2) and 324 million-pound-per-year Butadiene (P30B) units.

Tomskneftekhim OOO continues with a planned turnaround of the 330 million-pound-per-year polypropylene unit at its Tomsk Petrochemical Complex in Russia. Expectations are to restart the unit by June 23.
