NOVA Chemicals, on November 14, restarted its 1,950 million-pound-per-year ethylene unit in Geismar, Louisiana, after completing a turnaround that began October 9.

Dow Chemical, on November 14, restarted the 1,653 million-pound-per-year Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) Unit at its plant in Freeport (Oyster Creek), Texas, after shutting down for emergency repairs on November 4.

Indorama, on November 13, restarted its 945 million-pound-per-year Olefins plant in Sulphur, Louisiana. The unit was forced offline on August 1 after a lightning strike hit the plant, and had remained down due to damages from the 2020 hurricane season.

Basell Polyolefine GmbH is planning a 21-day maintenance turnaround of the 1,620 million-pound-per-year ethylene unit at its Wesseling Olefins and Monomers Complex in Germany, due to urgent needed repairs. The turnaround would begin November 22, with the restart expected by December 12.

SK Advanced is on schedule to begin a 21-day planned turnaround of the 1,323 million-pound-per-year PDH unit on December 25 at its Ulsan, South Korea, plant. The restart is expected by January 14, 2022.

Stavrolen OOO, today, November 18, restarted the 772 million-pound-per-year Ethylene 01 Unit at its Budennovsk Chemical Complex in Russia.
