Bayport Polymers continues construction on a new 1,380 million-pound-per-year High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)/Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) Unit in Pasadena, Texas. Construction is estimated to continue into the summer, with the operational startup in September.

Qatar Chemical Company, on February 14, started a 35-day maintenance turnaround of the 1,102 million-pound-per-year ethylene unit at its Umm Sa'id Chemical Complex in Qatar. The restart is expected by March 20.
