LACC LLC's 2.2 billion-pound-per-year ethylene unit in Westlake, Louisiana, remains offline after it experienced a process upset due to Winter Storm Elliott. The restart date is unknown at this time. LACC is a joint venture between Lotte Chemical and Axiall.

Eastman Chemical, on January 6, expects to restart its 800 million-pound-per-year HCC 4 ethylene unit in Longview, Texas. Separately, Eastman plans to keep its 300 million-pound-per-year HCC 3 ethylene unit offline due to economics. Current expectations are to assess a restart at the end of January.

The Kuwait Olefins Company, on January 1, started a 15-day turnaround of the 1,874 million-pound-per-year ethylene unit at its Shuaiba Olefins II Complex in Kuwait.
