Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Industrial Info is tracking project spending plans to develop 145 new facilities in the poultry sector across the U.S. and Canada. Project spending plans touch on most segments of the poultry sector, from highly mechanized poultry farms to processing facilities that manufacture and distribute finished products including fresh, frozen and further processed value-added products, among others. The cumulative total investment value of these projects is $2.12 billion and consists of projects ranging in value from $1 million to as high as $300 million.

Project plans with a construction start date of September or later shows 114 projects, with a cumulative investment value of $1.39 billion, while projects already in the construction phase point to $720 million from 30 projects. Five new facilities have completion dates scheduled for 2016. By the end of 2017, another nine projects are slated to wrap up the construction phase, and while project delays are likely, figures for 2018 are secured to another three plants coming online.
