Indorama continues to restart its 945 million-pound-per-year Olefins plant in Sulphur, Louisiana. The unit was forced offline on August 1, 2020 after a lightning strike and has remained down due to damages from the 2020 hurricane season.

Pemex Petroquimica has rescheduled a planned maintenance turnaround of the 1,323 million-pound-per-year ethylene unit at its Cangrejera Petrochemical Complex in Veracruz, Mexico. The turnaround has been postponed to later in November.

Basell Brindisi Srl is on schedule to begin a two-week planned turnaround of the 518 million-pound-per-year Polypropylene Resins Unit in December at its Brindisi Chemicals Plant in Italy.

Dow Quimica Argentina is still performing a maintenance turnaround of the 265 million-pound-per-year Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Unit at its Bahia Blanca Petrochemical Plant in Argentina. The unit went offline on October 4, and was expected to restart by the end of October, but extended work has kept the unit offline; it may resume normal operations in mid-November.

Borealis is on schedule for a planned six-week plant-wide maintenance turnaround at its Porvoo Olefins Complex in Finland, beginning September 2022.
