LACC LLC, on February 26, shut down its 2,205 million-pound-per-year ethylene plant in Westlake, Louisiana, after a fire occurred near a compressor. The restart is expected by March 27.

Showa Denko KK, on March 2, began a 50-day planned turnaround of the 1,091 million-pound-per-year Ethylene Unit 2 (C2) at its Oita Petrochemicals & Chemical Complex in Japan. The restart is expected April 20.

Karpatneftekhim was forced to suspend operations on the 573 million-pound-per-year ethylene and 286 million-pound-per-year polyethylene (PE) units at its Karpatneftehim Petrochemical Plant in Ukraine following a declaration of martial law in the country.

NS Styrene Monomer Company Limited, on February 27, began a 45-day planned turnaround of the 485.21 million-pound-per-year No. 2 Ethylbenzene Unit at its Oita Chemicals Plant in Japan. The restart is expected by April 12.
