NEW DELHI--October 6, 2021--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Ireland's state-owned power transmission operator, EirGrid plc (Dublin), and France's RTE (Paris) plan to build a 575-kilometer, high voltage direct-current (HVDC) electrical link. The Celtic Interconnector would be the first subsea interconnector between Ireland and France, and is aimed at ensuring energy security between the two countries.
