Valero continues with planned maintenance on four units at its 235,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Saint Charles Refinery in Norco, Louisiana. The event now is expected to be completed on March 10 due to the discovery of additional needed repairs.

Repsol Petroleo SA expects it will start up the new 250,000-ton-per-year Vegetable Oil Hydrotreater (HVO) Unit at its 220,000-BBL/d refinery in Cartagena, Spain, by mid-March.
Neste Corporation's 206,000-BBL/d Porvoo Refinery in Finland could potentially be affected by strike action scheduled to start on March 11. A two-week strike by workers in the transportation system would block deliveries to and from the refinery; the refinery expects it will have to reduce production beginning around March 15. Negotiations are still ongoing to prevent the strike. IIR will continue to monitor the situation.
