Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Skanska (Stockholm, Sweden) has been awarded the contract for the construction of two refinery units at the Presidente Bernardes Refinery (RPBC), in Cubatao, 60 kilometers from São Paulo, Brazil. The project is part of Petrobras implementation of the Gasoline Projects (Carteira de Gasolina) that aim at reducing automobile emissions. The agreement with Petrobras (NYSE:PBR), Skanskas repeated customer in the energy sector in Latin America, will demand a total $84 million investment, of which Skanska's share is $55 million. The undertaking will be carried out by a consortium formed by the Swedish company, 65%, and Engevix Engenharia, a Brazilian engineering company in São Paulo, which holds the remaining 35% of the group.
