Del Monte Distribution Center Nears Completion in Topeka

SUGAR LAND--July 8, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Del Monte Foods Company (NYSE:DLM) (San Francisco, California), one of the country's largest fruit and vegetable canners, is about to complete construction of a distribution center adjacent to its 400,000-square-foot pet food manufacturing plant in Topeka, Kansas. Completion of the project is scheduled for late summer or early fall. The $26 million distribution center will replace an existing 20,000-square-foot building in Topeka, from which products are currently shipped.
