Africa's Chemical Industry Sees $116 Billion in Grassroot Projects
Africa's Chemical Processing Industry is progressing steadily into 2024. Industrial Info is tracking 230 grassroot projects, totaling roughly US$116 billion of investment value
But the African sector's focus remains on agrochemicals projects, which total about US$34 billion of investment, and industrial gases, which total about US$50 billion.
Among the grassroot projects recently added to Industrial Info's Global Market Intelligence (GMI) Chemical Processing Project and Plant databases are Ain Sokhna's (Egypt) grassroot, 7-gigawatt (GW) green hydrogen power plant, which accounts for more than US$48 billion of investment.
