Cardinal Glass Continues with Glass Plant Expansions in the Western U.S.

Cardinal Glass Industries Incorporated (Eden Prairie, Minnesota) completed a $6 million expansion at its Casa Grande, Arizona plant, in March 2005. The expansion consisted of installing two automated insulating glass production lines in an existing 118,000 square foot building. The company completed the initial $10 million plant in January 2004 and installed one tempering line. The expansion recently completed will require an increase the workforce from 45 to 100 employees.
Founded in 1962, Cardinal Glass has a total of more than 4,000 employees located at 23 manufacturing locations and two R&D centers in the United States. The company has nine operating (IG) insulated glass plants, eight operating (CG) coated glass plants, one operating (LG) laminated glass location, one operating (TG) tempered glass location, and four operating (FG) float glass plants.
Industrialinfo.com is also tracking Cardinal Glass $130 million float glass plant in Winlock, Washington. The plant is expected to begin construction in April 2005 and will take an estimated fourteen months to complete. Dreicor Incorporated (Hendersonville, North Carolina) will perform construction services for the plant.
