Currier Plastics Begins Construction on $20 Million Expansion in New York

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Custom injection molder and blow-molding manufacturer Currier Plastics (Auburn, New York) has started construction on a $20 million expansion of its manufacturing plant for custom injection molding in Auburn.

At the existing 65,000-square-foot plant, construction is under way on a 55,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse building addition. The expansion also will include the installation of new machinery and supporting equipment, and will enable the company to double the size of the existing manufacturing operations, as well as increase plant capacity and efficiency.

Construction began in the second quarter of this year, and overall completion is slated for early spring of 2013. Approximately 50 jobs will be created over five years. The expansion will enable the company to develop current operations.

VIP Structures Incorporated was selected to provide design and construction services for the expansion.

Currier Plastics has been operating for 30 years, providing services in blow molding, injection molding, injection stretch blow molding and CAD design.
