IEA Raises Oil Demand Forecast - The International Energy Agency (IEA) raised its global crude oil demand forecast to 92.1 million barrels per day (BBL/d), up 400,000 BBL/d from its outlook last month, citing a smaller-than-expected second-quarter decline. (Reuters)

U.S. Oil & Gas Rig Count Hits Record Low for Tenth Week - The U.S. oil and gas rig count fell by five to an all-time low of 258 in the week ending July 10, marking the tenth consecutive week of a new record low. That was 700 rigs, or 73%, below this time last year. (Reuters)

New Inspection Completed on Enbridge's Line 5 - A new inspection has found no problems on the western segment of Enbridge's (NYSE:ENB) Line 5 at the Straits of Mackinac in northern Michigan. The inspection "found no internal or external metal loss or dents," it said. The pipeline was shut down on June 25 as a precaution. On July 1, Ingham County Circuit Court Judge James Jamo allowed Enbridge to resume service on the western leg of Line 5. The eastern leg of the underwater pipeline where a damaged anchor was discovered remains shut down. (Pipeline 3506883) (Kallanish Energy)
