ExxonMobil, Total to Move Forward with Papua New Guinea LNG Expansion - Total (NYSE:TOT) and Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) (ExxonMobil) said Tuesday they're moving forward on a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project in Papua New Guinea. EIA Boosts Forecasts for U.S. Crude Output Growth in 2019 - U.S. crude oil production is expected to rise by 1.43 million barrels per day (BBL/d) in 2019 to average 12.39 million BBL/d, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Tuesday, up from its previous forecast for a rise of 1.35 million BBL/d. ExxonMobil Leads in New Oil Discoveries - A trio of offshore discoveries made by ExxonMobil has set up 2019 to be the biggest year for new finds since the last oil price collapse in 2014. With discoveries made offshore of Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean and off of Guyana in South America, ExxonMobil alone accounts for nearly 40% of the new oil and gas gains found in the first quarter of the year, according to a new report from the Norwegian research firm Rystad Energy.
