Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Operations at Russian state-owned Gazprom's (Moscow) Amur natural gas and helium processing plant were temporarily shut down earlier this month after a fire broke out during testing of the facility's second train addition project. The project is in its commissioning phase and is expected to be completed in December, but although that deadline may be revised following a damage assessment.
The second train will add 677 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of natural gas to the 677 million already installed from the first train, which began operating in June. The facility exports natural gas from Russia's Chayandinskoye natural gas field to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline, which began operating in December 2019.
