Indorama continues repairs at its 945 million-pound-per-year olefins unit in Sulphur, Louisiana. The unit was forced offline on August 1 after a lightning strike hit the plant and remains down due to damages from the 2020 hurricane season. Indorama currently plans to attempt a restart of the plant in June.

Pemex Petroquimica is on schedule for a 15-day planned maintenance turnaround of six units, in July, at its Cagrejara plant in Veracruz, Mexico.

Hanwha Total Petrochemical Company Limited restarted the 683 million-pound-per-year Train 2 within the approximately 3 billion-pound-per-year ethylene unit, on April 21, at its Daesan Petrochemicals Plant in South Korea. The unit shut down for 45-day planned maintenance on March 8, along with a revamp project aimed at increasing Train 2's capacity up to approximately 1 billion pounds per year.

Asahi Kasei Mitsubishi Chemical Ethylene Corporation, a joint venture with Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and Asahi Kasei Chemicals Corporation, remains on schedule to perform a 56-day planned turnaround of the 1.25 billion-pound-per-year ethylene unit and 740.75 million-pound-per-year propylene unit, beginning May 14, at its Kurashiki Mizushima Ethylene Plant in Okayama, Japan. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the units by July 8.

BASF SE remains on schedule to perform a 42-day maintenance turnaround of the 882 million-pound-per-year Ethylene Unit 2, starting June 5, at its Ludwigshafen Complex in Germany. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by July 16.
