Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Illinois Tool Works Incorporated (NYSE:ITW) (Glenview, Illinois), with ITW Angleboard, plans to build a new manufacturing plant across from an existing plant in Darlington, South Carolina (Plant 1063138).

Construction started in January 2004 on an 80,000 square foot facility at 123 Cornerboard Lane in Darlington, South Carolina. This new plant will produce an extruded mix of polyethylene that can be recycled repeatedly back into itself when collected. The plant will manufacture corner board protectors and plastic extruders. The product will be exported to Latin and South America and sold in the United States.

Metal Builders of Florence Incorporated located in Florence, South Carolina was awarded the general construction contract for the new plant.
