Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Jushi Group Company Limited (Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province) plan to begin construction on two fiberglass projects soon and finish them before September. The Jushi Group, a subsidiary of the China Fiberglass Company Limited (Beijing), will build a 140,000-ton-per-annum (TPA) E-glass fiber pool kiln wiredrawing production line and a 60,000-TPA C-glass fiber production pool kiln wiredrawing production line. The projects will cost about $323.3 million.
The E-glass project will be in Jushi's neighborhood, making the most of the existing water supply station, 110-kilovolt transformation station, LNG station and other facilities. Jushi will adopt single-unit wiredrawing techniques and some other advanced techniques, and will import key equipment and buy domestically made peripheral devices. Upon completion, the production line will be able to produce 80,000 tons of direct roving and 60,000 tons of series cakes.
The C-glass project is expected to go into operation before August at existing facilities using advanced techniques.
China National Building Material Group Corporation (CNBM) (Beijing) controls Jushi through CNBM's China Fiberglass Company.
Jushi set the foundation for a 500,000-TPA fiberglass production base last September, a step to building itself as the world's largest fiberglass producer. The company planned to invest a total of $1.3 billion in coming years.
Jushi's main products include E-glass and C-glass fiber roving, chopped strands, glass filament yarn, stitch combo mat and chopped mat, emulsion and powder chopped strand mat, roving cloth and reinforcement glass fiber products, as well as electro-glass fiber yarn. In total, there are more than 20 types and 300 specifications of products, making Jushi one of China's most diversified fiberglass producers. Half of China's fiberglass exports come from the company.
