Kazakhstan's KazAzot Plans $1.3 Billion in New Investments
KazAzot JSC plans to invest more than US$1.3 billion to build new production units
Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--KazAzot JSC (Aktau, Kazakhstan), the largest producer of ammonia and ammonium nitrate in Kazakhstan, plans to invest more than US$1.3 billion in the construction of new production units.
These projects will have the advantage of relatively cheap natural gas, since the company owns a gas production facility and has seaport access.
Also, the company could find a new market in the European Union, as a result of the potential departure of Russian producers from that market due to the Ukraine conflict.
